Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using and interacting with the Unveil application ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Age Requirement

Our service is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using Unveil, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. No Affiliation & Third-Party Relationship

Unveil is an independent project operated by Saurav Jangid. We are not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Meta Platforms, Inc. or Instagram.

Your use of Unveil is entirely dependent on the Instagram platform. You acknowledge that you must still comply with Instagram’s own:

4. Assumption of Risk & Account Safety

You understand and agree that using third-party or modified clients carries inherent risks. While Unveil takes significant protective measures to emulate human behavior and minimize detection, Instagram may still flag, restrict, or permanently ban accounts for using third-party software.

You use the Service at your own risk. We are not responsible for any actions taken by Instagram/Meta against your account, including but not limited to temporary blocks, "shadowbans," or permanent account loss.

5. Intellectual Property

While Unveil provides tools to facilitate the viewing and archiving of media, we do not own any content hosted on Instagram. All stories, profile pictures, highlights, and posts remain the intellectual property of the original creators or Instagram/Meta.

6. User Conduct & Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are strictly prohibited from using the Service to:

  • Infringe on Copyright: Using archived media for commercial gain or unauthorized redistribution without the owner's consent.
  • Harassment: Using the Service to stalk, harass, or threaten other individuals.
  • Abuse: Attempting to reverse-engineer the application, spamming our backend infrastructure, or bypassing security measures.

7. Abuse Prevention & Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or block your access to the Service (via your UserID) at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. This includes, but is not limited to, attempts to reverse-engineer the app or spamming the backend. As noted in our Privacy Policy, a hashed record of your UserID may be retained to enforce these bans.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. You use the Service at your own risk. We are not responsible for the content, conduct, or actions of users on the platform. We expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any emotional or financial damages resulting from:

  • (a) Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Service;
  • (b) Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service;
  • (c) Actions taken by third parties (including Meta/Instagram).

10. Reliance on Third-Party Platforms

The Service is entirely dependent on the Instagram platform. We are not responsible for any service interruptions, API changes, or termination of service resulting from actions taken by Meta. Your use is subject to the continued availability of Instagram's public and private interfaces.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app push notifications and by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We also reserve the right to make updates at our discretion without prior notice. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
